Quiet & Nostalgic · Dark Academia Botanical

A clock on a dark pedestal keeps its own quiet hour in a meadow of orange and white blooms.

A round clock with Roman numerals sits on a dark, footed pedestal in the middle of a wildflower meadow. The hands rest near the top of the dial. Around it, orange and white daisy-like blooms rise among tall grasses, with small seed heads on thin stems.

The clock is the only man-made object in the scene, and that is what holds your eye. It stands on a round patch of bare earth with rust-orange stains, and behind it the backdrop is a creamy, blotchy wash with brown drips running down from the top edge. Dark vines creep in from both sides. The brushwork looks loose and slightly rough, with flecks and splatters scattered across the surface.

The palette is sage green, cream, burnt orange and deep brown. That mix suits a library corner, a study, a quiet bedroom or an entryway with warm wood tones. It pairs well with dark leather chairs, brass lamps and shelves of old books, and it gives a dark academia room a softer, outdoor note.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
