A small bird rests on a bare branch while a few pink blossoms open around it.
A small sparrow sits on a bare, knotted branch, its black head marked with a white cheek patch and its wings washed in rust brown. Pink blossoms with deep red centers open along the twigs, and a few tight buds wait beside them. This kind of bird-and-branch scene follows the Japanese kacho-ga tradition, where a single bird and a flowering branch tell the whole story.
What keeps the eye moving is the background. The cream surface is blotchy, with amber stains, fine hairline cracks and gray patches flaking away in the lower right corner. The branch is drawn in thin, dark lines, and the flowers are soft and loosely colored. Plenty of open space surrounds the bird, which gives the piece a calm, uncluttered feel.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
