Moody & Quiet · Dark Academia Botanical
Deep burgundy and cream blooms rise from a pool of dark red that runs down a cracked, faded wall.
Three kinds of mood sit side by side in this hellebore study. Two deep burgundy blooms and two creamy white ones open above jagged green leaves. Their centers are dotted with yellow-green stamens, and the petals are drawn in soft, rounded shapes.
Below the flowers, a pool of dark red and brown spreads outward, then runs down in thin, uneven drips. Behind them, a tan rectangle with ragged edges sits on a pale background that looks cracked, stained and worn. The surface looks like an old wall left to age, with flecks and speckles scattered across it.
This botanical piece works well as the anchor of a gallery wall. Pair it with a small framed ink sketch, a dark landscape and a few simple black-and-white pieces. How do I choose the right size?
Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
