Gentle & Curious · Rustic Farmhouse Portrait

A sheep looks straight out from behind a chipped white frame, calm and a little curious.

A sheep faces you head-on, ears out to the sides, amber eyes bright and steady. Its cream wool is built from thick, choppy strokes in ivory, tan and soft caramel, so the coat looks deep and woolly. The face is smooth and pale, with a dark nose and a quiet, gentle mouth.

Behind the sheep is a faded sky-blue background with scuffed, uneven patches. A chipped white wooden frame edge runs down the right side, with bare brown showing through the worn paint. A little green grass sits low on the left. Cream, soft blue and warm brown make an easy color scheme for farmhouse wall art, and the worn-paint details suit rustic and cottage decor too.

This farm animal art looks right above a kitchen table, in an entryway, or beside a sunny window. It also works well in a guest room or a country-style bedroom. It would be a warm choice for a gift for someone who loves farm animals, with a face that is hard not to smile back at.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
