Calm & Refined · Vintage Botanical Study

A single fig branch is drawn leaf by leaf and bloom by bloom, in the spirit of an old botanical study.

A fig branch curves across a bare cream background, carrying two ripe figs, four plum-purple leaves and two large blush pink blossoms. Each blossom has a deep crimson center with a tight cluster of tiny dots. The petals are soft pink with fine hairline strokes, like a pen-and-ink study tinted with watery color.

The leaves shade from smoky violet to near charcoal, with pale veins and slightly rough edges. The figs are plump and deep purple, and the thin gray branch has small knots where each stem joins. The look is quiet and well ordered, much like a page from an old botanical album.

This botanical fig branch art works well in a gallery wall because the open cream space gives it room beside other pieces. Hang it in a pair with another plant study, or set it in a grid of three. The plum and blush tones sit nicely with dark walls, gold accents and soft neutrals in a dining room, bedroom or entryway.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
