Calm & Watchful · Western Wildlife

A fox sits still among tall dry grass, head turned, as if it just heard something far off.

A red fox sits upright in tall golden grass, its head turned to one side and its amber eyes fixed on something out of view. Its coat runs from bright orange to a white chest and bib, with black on the ears and lower legs, and a white-tipped tail curls along the ground. Red foxes are known for that bushy tail, which they wrap around themselves for warmth when they rest.

The image looks like thick, dabbed brushwork. Short, choppy strokes build the fur, and long dry strokes make the grass. The pale cream background looks scraped and uneven, and the top and bottom edges are bordered with gray-blue strips that look like worn, chipped boards.

The warm orange, honey gold and soft cream sit easily in a western living room, a farmhouse kitchen, a cabin den or an entryway. It pairs well with leather chairs, plaid throws, natural wood shelves and cream walls. Hang it on its own above a mantel or console, or group it with other wildlife and prairie scenes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
