Calm & Reflective · Japandi Nihonga Style

A bright full moon rises over a traditional tiled roof, framed by trees in rust and amber.

A full moon hangs in a cream and peach sky, and every crater on its face is drawn in fine, careful detail. Below it sits the curved tiled roof of a traditional Japanese building, each row of tiles inked in soft gray. Few motifs sit as naturally in a Japandi room as this one.

Here is something worth knowing: the roof's upturned eaves are a hallmark of classical East Asian architecture, and the artist has shown them with close, steady linework. Rust and amber maple-style trees rise behind the roof and curl in from both sides. The sky looks mottled and cloudy, like aged paper with blotches of tan and blush. Wooden railings and warm, glowing panels at the bottom edge add a quiet human touch.

The palette of cream, burnt orange, charcoal and warm gray suits a living room, bedroom, entryway or quiet reading nook. It pairs well with light oak furniture, linen textiles and simple ceramics. If you collect Japanese-inspired wall art, moon art or autumn landscapes, this piece gives you all three in one calm scene.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
