Dramatic & Moody · Dark Academia Landscape

A lone stone structure stands on a slope while the sky above burns in red, orange and teal.

A weathered stone doorway stands on a rocky hilltop, flanked by tall, dark evergreens. Behind it, the sky turns dramatic: teal at the top, deep red and orange clouds in the middle, and a band of pale gold glowing along the horizon. Blue-gray hills roll away in the distance.

The surface looks built from broad, chunky strokes of color, like thick dabs laid side by side. The stones are rough and uneven, the slope is streaked with plum, rust and charcoal, and the clouds look piled up in ragged ribbons. It is a moody, rich scene that rewards a long look.

This piece works well as the anchor of a gallery wall. Pair it with a dark botanical study, an old-fashioned portrait, or a small still life in deep green and burgundy. The warm sky picks up leather chairs, brass lamps and wood shelves. Hang it in a library, study, reading nook or living room where a bold landscape can set the tone for the rest of the display.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
