A close look at carved scrolls and leaves, set against a mottled gray wall with a soft shadow falling to the right.
Deep plum and cool stone gray carry this close view of a classical column capital. The scrolls and leaf carvings are shaded in dark wine and mauve, while the flat top slab and round shaft stay in pale gray with pitted, chalky marks.
The wall behind the column is mottled in gray, cream and a hint of warm taupe, with uneven streaks and patches that look like faded wash. A soft shadow falls along the right side and gives the carving real depth. The edges are a little rough and worn, which suits the old-world mood.
This color pairing works well in a dining room with charcoal or greige walls, a formal living room with a velvet sofa in plum or aubergine, or an entryway with a dark wood console. How do I choose the right size?
Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.
