Cozy & Scholarly · Naturalist Field Study

A small orange-breasted bird pauses on a branch heavy with berries, drawn like a page from an old field journal.

A round-bodied robin sits on a thin branch crowded with glossy red berries. Its breast is bright orange, its back and head are dark gray-brown, and its belly is a soft cream. Fine lines mark each wing feather. Muted green leaves with pale veins curl around the berries.

The background is a warm, tea-stained cream, blotted with rust-brown splashes and tiny flecks, much like an aged page in a field notebook. A few faint scribbled marks sit near the bottom edge. Deep reds, olive greens and warm browns give the piece a quiet, scholarly mood that suits dark academia decor.

This robin wall art would look at home in a study, library corner, reading nook, entryway or dining room. It pairs well with dark wood shelves, leather chairs, books and brass lamps. It also works in a small gallery wall with other bird and botanical studies. It would make a thoughtful gift for a birdwatcher, someone who loves old natural history books, or a gardener who keeps a feeder outside the kitchen window.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
