Calm & Refined · Vintage Botanical Study

A single branch holds ripe figs, shadowy leaves and a soft pink flower, drawn in the quiet detail of an old botanical plate.

Two plump figs hang from a slender branch, their skins streaked in deep plum and soft mauve. Dark, toothed leaves fan out around them, and a pale pink blossom with a ruby center opens at the lower right.

The image reads like a fine-lined botanical plate. Delicate hatching shapes the ribbed fruit and the veins of each leaf, while the colors stay muted: plum, dusty rose, smoky gray-brown and warm cream. The branch has small buds and gentle knots, drawn a little uneven, as a real twig would be. Plenty of open cream space around the subject keeps the whole composition calm.

This vintage botanical fig art suits a dining room, entryway, bedroom or reading nook, and sits well with walnut wood, brass accents and cream or sage walls. Hang it alone, or pair it with other botanical studies for a small gallery wall. It would make a thoughtful gift for a gardener or anyone who loves cooking with fresh fruit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
