Calm & Moody · Dark Academia Landscape

A stone path winds between pale trunks toward a glow of amber leaves, inviting a slow walk.

If your home leans toward dark academia, this woodland scene fits right in. Tall pale birch trunks line a worn stone path, with a low gray stone wall in the foreground. Leaves in rust, copper and amber cover the ground, and the trees ahead glow golden against a soft, pale sky.

The surface looks built from thick, chunky strokes in a palette knife style. Flat, scraped patches of color make up the stones, the bark and the leaf piles, so the whole scene feels rough, layered and a little uneven. The warm oranges sit against cool grays and deep brown shadows, which gives the scene a calm, moody feel.

This autumn landscape works well in a study, library corner or reading nook, and it also suits a dining room, entryway or quiet bedroom. It pairs nicely with dark wood shelves, leather chairs, brass lamps and deep green or burgundy walls. If you love moody forest art and warm fall colors, this birch path brings both together in one calm scene.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas, framed art print or art print — what's the difference?

Canvas is printed on textured cotton-polyester canvas and stretched over slim 0.79" (2 cm) wood bars — finished at the edges and ready to hang, with or without a floating frame. A framed art print is printed on premium matte paper and arrives in a pine wood frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, ready to hang. An art print is the unframed paper print, for when you'd like to choose your own frame. You'll find the exact details for your selection under Product Specifications.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the wall space you want to fill. Above a sofa or bed, a piece about two-thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced. For smaller walls, nooks or gallery walls, smaller sizes work well. Our Size Guide shows every size in a room setting for comparison.

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Canvas and framed art prints arrive ready to hang with the hanging hardware included; framed canvas and framed art prints come with a pre-installed sawtooth hanger. Art prints are shipped unframed.

When will my order arrive?

Every piece is printed to order in the USA. Your estimated delivery date is shown right below the Add to Cart button and already accounts for production and shipping. Shipping is free on all US orders.

What if my order arrives damaged or misprinted?

Just email us at info@maisoncanvas.com within 60 days of delivery with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement or a refund. Because every piece is made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or an incorrect size selection. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Will the colors look the same as on my screen?

We work hard to show every piece as accurately as possible. Screens differ in brightness and color settings, so the printed colors can look very slightly different from what you see on your device.

How do I care for my artwork?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, cleaning sprays and long periods of direct sunlight to keep the colors at their best.
